It was like a honeymoon, or was it their honeymoon? Honestly Emery wasn’t totally sure since the two of them were referring to it as a vacation but it was happening after the wedding. Either way she was excited. “Okay so I saw that you pretty much walk everywhere because there’s never any parking but we can pretty much just be at the water all day.” Honestly it wasn’t like Ocean City was a huge place but she liked the idea of going somewhere that they could feel like they were far away from home when it was only Maryland. “But I guess your’e bummed that there’s no skinny dipping at a public beach.” She teased before putting her bag down on the bed and walking to the little deck they had attached to their room. “I told you we should have gone to Martha’s Vineyard, they have a nude beach.”

Pants and a stripped shirt was all he had to wear and honestly she was still surprised that Isaac had put it on for her but she had promised him sex afterwards. If he didn’t dress up he wasn’t having sex with her for a while and she was going to stick to that. Plus in Emery’s opinion she made a really great mermaid. The shell bra was a little uncomfortable but it looked fantastic. But she was glad she’d gone for leggings instead of a mermaid tail so while they were still tight she could at least walk in them. “I should have brought a jacket.” She laughed as she pressed close to Isaac since her skin was almost totally bare from the waist up. “But can you be happy that I just made you wear normal clothes? I could have begged for a lot more.”

She was lost and there was no way around it. Honestly she wasn’t the biggest fan of corn mazes because she couldn’t get her way out half the time. So she took a seat on one of the hay bales at one of the dead ends before taking another drink from her apple cider. This was the best part of things like this. Her friends would all come out to these little fall things and she’d spike her hot cider with rum and be comfortably warm thanks to the buzz she had going. But for once she said she’d get out of the corn maze on her own and instead she was going to die there. As someone turned the corner she lifted her hand. “Wolfy!” She stood up  before using her free hand to brush the hay off as she walked towards him. “Did you come to find me. I got lost.”

God did she love her husband. The little things he did with their son were always the perfect ones and she knew he’d do the same with the new baby when they came. So she hadn’t been overly surprised to hear humming coming from Oliver’s room. Stopping in the door way she looked at her husband as he moved clearly trying to get their son to sleep and let out a small laugh when he turned and saw her. “Long enough. God I love you. You’re just such a good dad.”

Being on her feet for most of the day usually left her with aches by the end of the week but being pregnant made it worse. It didn’t matter that she was almost to the four month mark and not showing much her body ached. Really the only thing she found hilarious about the pregnancy was that she was due the three weeks into the next school year. A groan left her as Nolans hands ran over her back and she straightened slightly on the cushion in front of her husband. At least Ollie was comfortable sitting in her lap watching the movie. “You know what I want after I have the baby? I massage. A laying on my belly full body massage.”

Even when her eyes closed she knew the moment Nolan stepped into the shower when she felt the cool air hit her before his arms wrapped around her body. “I’m gonna start locking the door.” Leaning back against him she sighed. It had been a long day that was only made worse when Nolan mentioned being called up. He clearly knew her well enough that when she said she was going to shower it was so she could hide away for a little bit without him seeing her upset. Slowly she turned in his arms before kissing his chest. “I wouldn’t actually lock the door.... Ollie might need me.”

"It would be a nice moment to relive.” Emery agreed as she looked over at Lila fast asleep against Mason. At first she’d ben nervous about the little girl bumping the wrong place and hurting him but she seemed to have cuddled up against him in just the right way that it didn’t look as if he was in pain. Though she doubted he would move the little girl even if he was. “But at the same time I would like to watch her grow up.” She smiled at them and the way the dog seemed to be patiently waiting for his friend to wake back up. Turning back to what she had been doing the brunette picked up a few more toys and put them away so there was less of a mess now that the little girl was napping and not trying to show Mason every toy that she owned. “You still feel okay?”

Alex was the last person Emery expected to see when she’d opened her door but honestly she felt like shit and she wasn’t going to question what he was doing there in the middle of the day. Sophie would have been in daycare but the brunette still looked down almost hoping to see the little girl there. But she really did need to get used to the fact that when a relationship ended you didn’t get to be around the other persons kid anymore. “You didn’t have to do that.” She closed the door to her apartment and pushed a few strands of hair that had fallen out of her bun behind her ears. “It’s just a bug, they tested me for the flu and that was negative but I can’t go back to work until I don’t have a fever.” Which made sense since she did work at a school.
