They had warned her when she became an Auror that it was dangerous. That they might end up having to give up everything to bring someone down. Violet had always done that, gone in like it was the last time she would ever do so. To be willing to give it all. Perhaps it was to live up to her name, to what her father had done before her. To show them that someone with a family legacy like she did she wasn’t like them. It had been tricky, the man they were after wasn’t going to give in without a fight. Fight the man did, and he probably used every single nasty curse one could think of. One of her co-workers ended up losing, and the others were injured. That could be said about her as well. As something came flying she felt it strike her. Looking down a piece of what she thought might be wood was sticking out of her skin. Violet didn’t have time for this.
He ended up getting away. There simply weren’t enough of them left to bring him down. Promising to see a healer she left. Of course, she didn’t do as she was told. Having found a bench to sit down on at first Violet didn’t look up when she heard someone approach her. As she did it was a familiar face. For once she would admit she did look like shit. He never did. “Just your average workday Malfoy.”
