The stage was set. The Centennial Celebration was in full swing, and everybody seemed to be waiting for the Mayoral Address scheduled for 9pm that evening. As things go, attendants were asked to clear the dance floor and as things settled down, the mayor took the stage, eager to finally let her voice be heard at the event. She welcomed everybody that had come, happy to see the beautiful faces as the crowd had been well planned for. She introduced a number of people that were in attendance that night, including city hall workers, the police and fire department, and other safety and security workers, and she thanked them all for being there that night. While the speech began with a hit, she dove right into the mess that the town had become. Vampire attacks, werewolf outings, and the surprisingly large number of incoming humans that seemed to begin to infiltrate the town. She regarded the safety as being overlooked in recent months, especially at town events, something that the enforced security tonight had taken care of. And she apologized for what seemed to be a lack of guidance and leadership in the town’s time of need, something she promised to do better on. And within that commitment, she vowed to hear her community and take action.
Irony comes to mind when at the very moment of promising her future outlook to be brighter, a large explosion detonates from the inside of Mayor Teresa Wright’s podium. The bombing being a planned attacked to show just exactly what business the force behind this meant. The explosion rings out, as the main hall of the city hall is shaken with the force. People who are seated close enough are hit with debris and shrapnel, or even left for dead as the bomb goes off with no warning to protect themselves. Tables are thrown aside, and anybody on the stage, including the Mayor herself, are dead on impact. The bomb’s waves can be felt throughout the entire building, an aftershock of a storm and earthquake rumbling around the epicenter of the town, and shaking the surrounding area, and leaving the main hall a mess of damage, confusion, rage, and chaos. And the evacuation begins before the building collapses upon itself.
Casualties include (but are not limited to):
Mayor Teresa Wright
Martina Mazzoni
Cynthia Ramos
Injuries are subjective to each character and where they were at during the bomb plot drop, though all injuries need to be relevant to the plot, and plausible to the scene of the crime. Please remember that full merfolk have healing properties and abilities, full and half vampires have faster healing rates and their blood has healing properties when consumed by others, and full and half triggered werewolves have enhanced healing rates, and when provoked in such a manner, full werewolves may also take on their werewolf form.
