[6x6]  I was tagged by this cute babe. 

1. why write: it's like when your lungs need a full, complete breath every once in a while. and no matter how quickly you inhale, you will have you stop and pause and inhale as deep as your chest allows. and you breathe and you breathe and keep going until your chest aches a little, but your lungs are full to the brim and it feels right. not good, just right. also, like, why the fuck not?

2. aesthetic: wobbly knees. smeared lipstick. lit screens in the dead of night. licking the blood from hangnails. moving on. trains going home, both ways. scars. girls finding themselves. me finding myself.

3. the process: write the same line again and it may mean something different. write the same line again until the poem becomes a plea and the plea is all you got.

4. the moment right now: this song, that makes me want to cry and cry. I'm thinking of change and what it means and that I need to start packing and how scared I am. I'm thinking that fear hurts me in the stomach, like a twist. like a surprise and an apology all at once. 

5. shortcomings: short fingers. impulsive. the opposite of forgetfulness. 

6. a writer is: someone waiting.

Wow, anon, all these big Tumblr writers. You know I'm not, in any way, an esteemed/prolific writer on Tumblr? I'm sort of just staring starry-eyed up at most of these people as well. 

memereve: The name sounded familiar, and I've probably reblogged something of his or hers, but I don't follow them. That's fixed now!

five--a--day: Same as above.

praises: Maddie is one of the happiest people I know. She's so adorable. I wish I could get to know her better personally. 

the-temperamentalist: Not very familiar with this tumblr user, but I admire just about everything they reblog to be honest!

alonesomes: Already covered.

5000letters: Oh, Azra. You sassy lil shit, you. We became particularly close this summer and I am so very grateful for our friendship. Out of the Tumblr writers I know, she's one of the ones I'm very close to (I'd say Ella/hollowtowers would be the other writer I'm closest to). Azra is hilarious and so passionate and she's just so much fun to be around! Augh! I love you, girl. Plus her words have the effect of making me want to cry/die/rip out my heart, they're just so beautiful and delicate and eloquent.
