SPOKEN LANGUAGES. All verses set in some version of our world – German, English, and French. By 2020, if he’s been around since 1789, he adds, among others:
Russian, Greek, Latin, Italian, Cantonese, Spanish, Polish, and Irish. He is able to read Sanskrit, also. Other languages are even more verse-dependent. Once he has access to resources that allow him to learn without having to spend months or years searching for native speakers if he wants to learn a language the people around him don’t speak, he adds at least one a decade. If a friend’s preferred language is one he does not yet speak, and their culture is open to allowing outsiders to learn, that’s always the one he’ll prioritize.

POSTURE. If around humans, a crouched, somewhat painful stance designed to make him look significantly shorter, without making it too obvious that it is design. When he isn’t trying to hide what he is, he stands up straight, and his walk becomes significantly more graceful.
SCARS. Y-shaped incision running down his chest; a few smaller scars (like a thin white line on his right hand) he had before his death; more scars from post-mortem surgery on his legs, arms, and shoulders. Other serious injuries leave scars that may last for several years, but will eventually fade away. Wounds received directly from powerful dark supernatural beings may not heal properly without medical or magical intervention, and can leave a more lasting mark.

Falls in love relatively quickly but will not confess his love unless he is certain such a declaration will at least not be met with disgust. He expects most romantic love to be unrequited, but does not see or treat friendships as any less valuable for that. When single, Adam is perfectly willing to have a fling with almost anyone who makes it clear they want him, as long as 1) they are either single or in an open relationship 2) he doesn’t think they’re out to hurt/embarrass him, and 3) he doesn’t fear they’d be hurt if it didn’t progress into anything more. For Adam, whether he’s attracted to them or not is irrelevant.
