A psa since I thought this while I was at work:

With the release of Side Order and Acht having they/them pronouns (on the English side of things at least) now being shown, we need to as a community not bash people for still going with she/her even after Side Orders release.

And I'm saying that because during the days of 2 and its artbooks/interviews Acht was referred to she/her in that material. So for a time when people wanted to be 'canon' with them, you would use those pronouns. Of course there is always the person behind the screen that goes "you know what? NB." And that's perfectly valid! Especially since on the English side of things they do refer Acht with they/them.

The other languages are tricky on the other hand. While NA and EU have referred Acht with they/them, Japan uses boku (the masculine or tomboy pronoun) to refer to Ahato and Portugal uses o artsita (which is the word used for men generally. A artsita is usually used for women). If any other languages have done something else then hey that's great, still pointing it out for knowledge sake.

What I'm saying is that language is hard and if someone wants to use she/her ded because that's what that person was used to then that is fine and we should expect a slow transition on the pronoun game for Acht since for years this information was like this until it suddenly wasn't.

And that's not even getting into whatever Japan will say about Acht in their next interview or artbook and whether or not its translation quirks or something else entirely (such as 100% true zero doubts hard canon).

So I'm just posting this saying that we shouldn't all gang up on people simply for referring Acht with a different set of pronouns, especially since years prior all the other information said otherwise.

So either way have fun with Acht! Do the cool things with the zombie octopus. Do whatever just don't bash people for working with information that was valid at the time.

plot twist? they don't look like one like idk hair a little messy, bags under the eyes etc just like the complete opposite,

but when they are in their element? they do ✨incredible music✨ just reca sitting there just going "BRAVOOO" "AMAZING" or something lol

I am in love with this idea honestly I love the idea of Reca having an s/o that does music in general it's so fun

when he first found out about your job he was very pleasantly surprised

he's always loved listening to music but can not play an instrument or write a piece to save his life

so he had a lot of respect for you from the get go

when he first went to one of your concerts he was even more in awe

seriously, it took ever piece of him not to start shouting and clapping midway through

after the show this man will hug you so tight you'll struggle to breathe. he does it impulsively.

he also will not. shut. up. about how much he loved it, how great of a director you are, etc.

even after you two start dating this behaviour does not stop

he's your biggest cheerleader

at home, when he sees you write music, he notices that you're quite relatable when working...

by which I mean, messy hair, eyebags, paper everywhere, running on 3 hours of sleep and 27 shots of espresso

yeah, now he's starting to understand why assistant director gets worried about him all the time...

so he starts paying more attention to you - not that he didn't already do this, it's just that he wants to make sure you take care of yourself

constantly reminding you take a break and drink some water

depending on what kind of person you are it might take a while for you to catch on

at times, when he notices you're tired but refusing to stop working, he'll just pick you up and carry you to bed so you can cuddle and maybe fall asleep in his arms

when you're having a creative block he'll do anything he can to help you find some inspiration for your next piece, after all he knows the feeling all too well and is very aware of how frustrating it can get

he also just adores hearing you play music at home when you're working on a new piece, it does not matter how many times you play the same bit over and over, he adores it

I don’t remember if I’ve talked about this before but I imagine Reca knows a shit ton of languages

He has multiple reasons for learning them all, from wanting to appreciate a wider variety of films to thinking it’ll just be useful as a memokeeper (what if he misses out on an interesting memory because he doesn’t speak that persons language hmm? Blasphemy. We can’t have that.)

I also imagine he’s not the type to brag about it because it’s just common sense to him. He’s always surprised when people are impressed by it.

You’d think after it happens once he’d learn

But now just imagine talking to friends, family, etc in another language because you think he won’t understand you and he just looks at you with a knowing grin

also if you speak a language he doesn’t know yet he’ll 100% learn it with you being the main reason why. The language you speak is a part of who you are and he wants to embrace all parts of you. It’s so much more than just words, it’s a way of showing he appreciates you

abt ur last post, im now imagining reca visibly struggling to hold himself back from rambling about working on his new film because he's not supposed to tell you... lol

idk how NDAs work that much either but i guess he would tell you without one if he knew youd keep the secret. i mean legally, if nobody else saw him tell you or knew, then nothing happened. wink wink.

no but you're totally right. there's also just the fact that he's a memokeeper if something gets leaked somehow anyway he could just... undo that

or keep it around as free marketing, I suppose it depends on what exactly gets leaked

I'm just imagining you coming home after a long day, closing the door behind you and putting away your coat. You walk into the kitchen to see Reca sitting by the table, with a stack of paper and his laptop, clearly working on something. He sees you and excitedly gets up, then suddenly turns back to his stuff and awkwardly sits down, contemplating if he should tell you anything, only to then get back up and run back over to you and just start yapping.

I imagine him to be a very affectionate person, so he'd probably pull you into a hug as he does this. Halfway through the yappings he throws in an "I missed you :<", gives you a kiss, and then just.. continues.

AND HONESTLY - depending on what your interests are and what he's working on he'd actively seek you out to ask if his scripts are accurate. Yeah he could look it up, and he probably will, but like.. you like the thing, and he loves talking with you, so you're the better option.

Reca’s the type of man to look at you longingly while you’re doing the most mundane stuff

I really like the idea of Reca being great at giving relationship advice but also being oblivious asf at people having crushes on him

Like, the thought of him being a hopeless romantic, helping people out with their relationships, writing countless romance films, literally being able to get into your head and see your memories, and STILL missing that you have a crush on him is just hilarious to me

On the flip side,

I also like the idea of him being 100% aware that you’re into him but just deciding not to comment on it. He’s stuck between wanting to plan the perfect confession and wanting to wait for you to confess to him.

on that note, the image of me confessing to him and him just standing there with a soft smile going “I know” is just. Ack. I love it. Somebody catch me I’m gonna faint.
