Halifax, Canada: I’d like to thank @alicehousing Heather and Tina for being amazing host. As you can see, they kept me busy. I was told that @cbcnews is the equivalent of @cnn. I was honored to speak about @AMENDTogether on both their radio and tv news. I presented to more than 100 HS students at Citadel HS also. One student said “my dad and I heard you on the radio this morning. My dad said ‘wow, that’s a powerful message, something we all need to hear.’ Then I said, I’m glad he’s coming to my school.” The principal wants to bring @AMENDTogether clubs to Citadel HS to continue working towards healthy manhood. Finally, I gave the keynote address for more than 150 Halifax business, government and community leaders, including Mayor Savage, receiving a standing ovation at the conclusion. Some were in tears. One of the servers approached me as I was leaving saying “I only caught the 2nd half of your talk, but it hit home for me when you talked about how men don’t feel the need to get involved until it happens to someone we love. I agree that we need to step up before the violence happens.” My heart is full as a head back to Nashville today knowing that we positively impacted another community. And guess what, we’re international!!!
