First Time's The Worst

Tim was going to kill Batman.

The Dark Knight, what a joke. Calling himself a hero when he doesn’t hesitate even a moment to stab Kon-El with a potent kryptonite just because the clone killed a few pimps. Calling himself a hero while hurting Kon and protecting the worst of Gotham’s scum. Poor Kon had never experienced kryptonite before, never had to suffer the aftereffects, the illness and fever and delirium, and now because of Batman he had to suffer through all of it. Tim’s only consolation was his frantic research informing him that the first time was always the worst.

It didn’t make it any easier to watch helplessly as his best friend suffered.

“Kon, don’t strain your-“ he cut off with an oof as his unfairly heavy bodyguard managed to wrap his arms around Tim’s shoulders, pushing him back onto the bed and wasting no time crawling on top of him. Tim wheezed as Kon curled up against him as best he could, pinned by two hundred pounds of pure muscle that seemed determined to cling to him like a sloth in a hurricane.
