ok so physically I have a phobia of water (like the ocean and drowning and stuff) but psychologically I’m scared of becoming insignificant/forgotten in the long run

90. What’s your fondest childhood memory?

My dad was in the army, and at one point, he had to go to Korea for a year. Technically, we could have gone with him (which would have extended it to three years, I think), but for medical reasons, this wasn’t really an option.

My present for my thirteenth birthday was meeting him at the airport when he came home.

He was pretty surprised to see me, too, because I actually really hated long car rides, and it was at least an hour one way to the airport. He was allowed to visit for a week or two halfway through, but I didn’t meet him or go with my family to drop him off (and for reasons I forget, there was only room for me or my sister in the car, but not both of us, so I elected to let my sister go).

But he was coming home for good, and it was my birthday, so I got to see him the moment he got back. :)

Thanks! It was with @mutents, my no. 1 pal for crying over how perfect a job the costume department for TMFU did and coming up with new, better heroes/heroines.
