That was until he was tossed toward Mercy. Gabe officially put him on Med Watch, something most men hated. But hey, Jesse saw it as a real reason to hang with Angela that didn’t get him in trouble.
A good shot to down a sniper is what earned him an armful of Angela as their lips met. It wasn’t long or lingering, just a mix of being grateful and missing one another. They both knew their mentors didn’t want them any more than acquaintances. Even if it was the middle of a battle, they took affection when they could.
