Not My Problem II MeredithxSebastian
It had been about a week since the events of the Christmas Ball and her unfortunate run-in with Johanna. And yet in all that time, Meredith was unable to banish the memory from her mind, or even apply her usual tactic of reasoning and ridiculing a pesky thought into oblivion.
She told herself Johanna was a grown-up.
She told herself things might not have been as they appeared.
She told herself it was not her problem to begin with.
And yet no matter what she told herself, the thoughts persisted and Johanna's problem continued to invade her mind. She had zero experience with eating disorders; whether of her own or anyone among her close connections. But she knew the problem was serious, not just something she could dismiss as usual. Nor was it something she could entirely ignore, although that was the preferred tactic she was employing right now. The text message to Sebastian had broken that though, and now Meredith sat in a Starbucks she disliked, sipping at a coffee that was much to sweet and waiting on a guy she liked to keep at a ten-foot distance at all times.
- In order to discuss a girl who'd played on her every last nerve lately. She was considering abandoning the whole thing and ditching Sebastian (he'd get over it), but just as that thought came to mind she heard the door open.
