last book: The Mysterious Benedict Society. I loved it!

last song: This Is Not The End by The Gray Havens.

last movie: The Man from U.N.C.L.E was the last thing I watched for myself, but a Christmas movie was just on. I think it was called The Christmas List (Not Hallmark, but Great American Family which in many ways is practically the same thing). (This one was not terrible, but not great.)

last series: Thought this was going to be harder until I remembered I watched the Tommy and Tuppence miniseries this year, which is a much more interesting answer than I have been giving.

salty or sweet: salt makes cocoa sweeter (both is good! Preference is for sweet though).

coffee or tea: That depends! I’ve been having more tea on my days off and more coffee on work days. And lately, hot chocolate has been awfully nice.

working on: Sewing: a skirt. Knitting: a sweater, and a cowl. Painting: not really but trying to learn to really see so I can improve. Writing: two stories, a short piece for the modern AU, (fluff) and brainstorming answers to write in character for an ask game I did on April Fools Day so that hopefully I’ll be finished with them before next April Fool’s Day.

What music has been up your alley recently? I’ve been all over the place lately but the last playlist I put on is a mix of Peter Hollens covers, random Christian music that I don’t like the whole album for, and some instrumentals that didn’t really fit anywhere else. XD

What’s something nice you ate lately? My current favorite tomato chicken curry was amazing recently, and so was the cake my mom chose for her birthday/Mother’s Day. The cake itself truthfully more of a vehicle for the gloriously fluffy and lightly sweet lemon frosting. By some miracle my frosting (made separate from the others’ due to it needing to be dairy free for me) turned out almost as cloudlike as the dairy version and certainly tasted just as good as I remember. I don’t think I’ve ever had the texture turn out so well before.

What’s been something good from this past week? I got some free goodies in return for being able to help prepare for the a sale at the yarn shop (the shift was kind of last minute, I think that’s why) and some of the goodies were actually hard to find/expensive things that I knew my mom would love so I got to surprise her with them.

What’s in your creative plans right now (whether for soon or for someday?) With the help of @valiantarcher I’ve finished a reread of what I have so far on Erandir’s Reckoning, making notes for things that will need changed in the future, and I think I’m actually ready to tackle the next chapter! …after I finish this one short story from the modern AU as I’m already late for my sister’s birthday with it. :”>

What character(s) have you had on your mind? My own, but also Josiah from @isfjmel-phleg’s The Blackberry Bushes and how the current project with him and Antavia is showing a more mature and yet still perfectly recognizable character. And Cazda and Kiro from @scarvenartist’s Shapeshifter stories for secret reasons. :3

READING: I’m a little ways into Taken at the Flood by Agatha Christie and also Defenders of the West by Raymond Ibrahim. Further into my reread of The Hobbit. <3 It’s been wayyyy too long.

LAST SERIES: Does Ken Burns’ The American Revolution documentary series count? (I keep running into things I already knew but it’s presented as though they’re groundbreaking thoughts, or else extremely biased takes, and of course modern views superimposed on the past. And some straight-up inaccuracies but they’re the same tired old inaccuracies such as “the founders were deists” which would be kind of laughable if it wasn’t so sad that people believe it in defiance of the evidence.

LAST MOVIE: Possibly Return of the King? Yeah, I think so. Sick and needing comfort.

LAST SONG: Simplify by Wes King

SWEET OR SALTY: definitely sweet (I want to say something about being salty enough already but I think people might take me too seriously.)

COFFEE OR TEA: lately it’s been tea but I still tend to bring iced coffee to work.

WORKING ON: ostensibly working on my novels. Actually working on glorified fanfiction for my novels. And knitting a sweater with the Tree of Gondor on it.

FAVORITE COLOR: Blue-green

CURRENT OBSESSION: I need someone to take sudoku away from me and I don’t even know why.

Last song you sang out loud: a part of A Girl Worth Fighting For since I had my Disney playlist on last night.

What is your favorite chip flavor? Chocolate. :) (I’m allergic to so many flavors of potato chip and I have to be in the right mood for plain ones. I can’t even have most Salt and Vinegar chips anymore and the kind I can *maybe* still have is too expensive, which is a great tragedy. :( so there’s an answer. Before I was hampered by allergies I think it was still Salt and Vinegar)

Last book you opened: if ebooks don’t count, it was the small bible I keep by my chair for quick referencing.

Earbuds, headphones, or nothing? Definitely nothing if no one is around. I only use earbuds if there’s a chance what I’m playing will bother someone.

Last place you went to other than home: just work.

What is a color that looks good on you? Teal tends to make my eyes look almost turquoise rather than grey-green, and I love it.

Last trailer you saw: Beauty and the Beast (we had a DVD on that had a trailer for it remastered or something. XD)

good things of yesterday:

-there was an incredible finding of something that was lost days ago. Nigh miraculous. (Narnia keychain, pretty much irreplaceable, though we had found one on eBay for $150. Yeah, pretty much irreplaceable.) -hot chocolate (this has featured in these posts before and it will again) -got some almond milk cream cheese. Most substitutes don’t even remind me vaguely of real cream cheese. This one does more than remind me vaguely of it, it satisfies my taste. -I’ve reached a turning point in my sweater in progress. Which doesn’t mean it looks like a sweater yet, but it’s a new stage in the process and I’m excited because I’m finally getting the hang of the cable. -new All Creatures Great and Small episode! -

Good great things of the day:

-hot chocolate -got several compliments on my outfit today -met someone with the same name as me (spelled correctly even!) and we bonded over yarn even though our crafts were different -some very cute kids -got reminded to breathe (when I had bitten off more than I could chew with a work project) and I did stop and calm down and it helped. -related: my team was excellent at stepping up to the challenges I’d inadvertently set them (some were unavoidable, and some just should not have been dealt with on a day that busy) and they were gracious about the parts that were my fault -I had fruit snacks in my bag when I needed them -hot chocolate (x2) with marshmallows this time -I’m still healthy -I have created a delicious meal for myself tonight, which I shall shortly consume
