Mermku - part 6

Expectations: breaking majestically through the waves, a sleek perfect glide, light catching his scales in a glorious flash of fiery orange.

Reality: the waves were really violent that day (almost as though there were explosions?!) and he got tossed on the beach.

This is how Mermtsuki went to the Dry Land for the first time.

He was so NOT pleased, let me tell you. 🤭

But hey, at least he was lucky enough to be found (and cared for!) by Human Deku 💕

The Lil' #Mermku - post #3 So... Lil'Mermtsuki *DID* go to the surface. No, he did *NOT* get to meet Dynamight. BUT, SOMEONE ELSE found him.

Hands too busy gripping the rocks so he doesn't tumble down the cliff, Mermtsuki had to make do with using his mouth instead to teach Deku a lesson lol

(How DARE Mermku think he needed saving/was leaving?)

(honestly though, Mermtsuki is mostly incensed because when he climbed the rocks in the previous part, Mermku got his beautiful little tail and arms all covered in cuts 💔)

I've got 2 possible explanation for this one.👀 Either some villain managed to snatch Mermtsuki; or he kept visiting the surface and Mermku (having eavesdropped something) convinced himself that he was about to leave for good with his new human friend.

Either way, Mermku painfully dragged himself out of the water and up the jagged, cruelly pointy rocks, which looked so imposingly, impossibly huge to such a small creature as he. He only wanted to catch a glimpse of his Kacchan, to beg him not to leave, because Mermku couldn't bear to be without him 💔
