Regular flogging of my article. 

It doesn’t really have a useful conclusion, mostly because my position means that I can’t offer it as the full-throated foreclosure defense strategy (and in fairness, it’s not a great foreclosure defense strategy)

It would mean a lot to me if you read it anyways though. MERS is not an entity that a lot of people think about on the day to day, but it plays a big role in a lot of modern foreclosures. Getting educated about the mortgage securitization process is an important part of fully understanding the implications of getting a mortgage in the current market :)

I can't help but notice how the Themis outline section on transfers of mortgages doesn't even talk about MERS or securitization. Excuse you, Themis, that is going to be 100% of the bar, I am sure.
