Last gripe

The ghost icon still activates and is f!£”£$g annoying.

(Motion, drags my eyes up the page, distracting)

Install Stylish.

Install “fix tumblr header” plugin

Header no longer static. Dancing distractions scroll off out of sight, out of mind. Later on I’ll find some way of disabling it entirely and re-sticking the Header.

Tumblr fubar: the saga continues

Right.. If I literally treat the “You’ve got Messaging!” popup as malicious code, disable all javascript, my blog comes back.

Of course, reblogging/liking anything WOULD require javascript.

The way round is to:

Blacklist tumblr .js, so it all works..

Click reblog, so it opens, but fails to load the .js reblog window in another tab..

..Then re-allow javascript in that tab.

The F£%^&!!!g popup re-appears, but reblog window overrides it so can actually still use my blog (Le Gasp!).

Repeat for every post you like, every page.

What a long-winded crapfest to have to do.

Tumblr staff don’t give a flying fuck of course, despite endless emails.

This will have to do until I get a newer computer (never) or Tumblr actually pull their finger out of their asses and block the bastard entirely (a whelk’s chance in a Supernova)

@staff Your messenger popup bug is still not fixed. 

Here I gave up and did your job for you. With zero coding knowledge and 10mins I found a working solution to a problem you’ve ignored for 4 days. 

Of course it would be better if you did it, properly, since you’re getting paid for it, and I’m stuck in Long term Unemployed Hell. (To add insult to injury).
