The goal of World Meteorological Day is to raise global awareness about the various issues that the planet faces. The day is significant as it serves as a reminder of how the earth's atmosphere and human behaviour are intertwined. Humans are increasingly influencing the climate and the earth's temperature by burning fossil fuels, cutting down forests and farming livestock. This adds enormous amounts of greenhouse gases to those naturally occurring in the atmosphere, increasing the greenhouse effect and global warming. effects of global warming Increased heat, drought and insect outbreaks, all linked to climate change, have increased wildfires. Declining water supplies, reduced agricultural yields, health impacts in cities due to heat, and flooding and erosion in coastal areas are additional concerns. Example : These phenomena include the increased temperature trends described by global warming, but also encompass changes such as sea-level rise; ice mass loss in Greenland, Antarctica, the Arctic and mountain glaciers worldwide; shifts in flower/plant blooming; and extreme weather events.” #WiseVillage #SchoolOfRecycle #meteorologicalday2022 (at Worldwide) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cbb7CKOvbJd/?utm_medium=tumblr
