Tom Dixon Tuesday: When I was a kid I always dreamed about living in a warehouse loft space in NYC. I think I could do London as well. Check out the Metropolitan Wharf, I’ve only included 2 pics but I’m staring at the rest... 🔘Situated in a Victorian wharf building opposite Canary Wharf, the top floor of this large office development has been converted into eight luxury penthouses. Each apartment has a large living space with an open plan kitchen area, plus two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and dressing rooms. The materials palette has been carefully sourced, using the Tom Dixon manufacturing network, in order to sit happily with the vernacular of exposed brick, mechanical lifts and pulleys and rough oak floors. Built between 1862 and 1898 it sits as one of London’s most impressive collection of wharf buildings and was one of the last remaining unconverted warehouses in Wapping. Throughout the development we curated a mix of Tom Dixon lighting and furniture, custom designed Tom Dixon pieces as well as other carefully selected products.
