Seven questions (Intsikurmu edition): Rainer Olbri
Less than a week until Intsikurmu festival! Before the magic starts again, here’s another Q&A in our Seven questions column. This time it’s with Rainer Olbri aka Metsakutsu, an Estonian rapper. His music differs from traditional hip-hop by subject matter and use of language. Metsakutsu’s latest LP was released in November 2016. He will fill Intsikurmu forest park with great vibe on Friday night as a last performer on the Oru stage that day!
Metsakutsu at Intsikurmu Festival: Friday 04.08 at 00:00 @Oru lava

1) Last song that was stuck in your head?
Slipknot - “Duality”. That “I push my fingers into my eyeeeeeees to slowly stop the acheee” line has been with me entire week.
2) What are you listening to at the moment?
Linkin Park.
3) Last album/song you bought?
Foo Fighters Concrete and Gold. I pre-ordered their new album. I was really blown away by their concert in Riga. My girlfriend has all the other FF albums and now we also have the newest one in the collection.
4) Next concert you're going to attend?
Intsikurmu and Flow Festival. Really-really looking forward to Vince Staples at Flow. He’s a guy I’ve kept my eye on for a while now and when I first heard he is coming to Helsinki I didn’t think twice. Last time I was there for Tyler The Creator and that was everything I needed in my life. If you haven’t been on one of his shows, I really recommend if you get the chance.
5) Most interesting band/artist in Estonia at the moment? Why?
Iiris. She has EVERYTHING and I am really waiting, wondering what’s going to happen. That last banger (”Stranger”) is on fire.
6) Music that always calms you down?
When I think about it, I don’t calm myself down with music at all. I do all the other possible things with music, but I don’t look for peace and calm. I really like agressive music (sometimes metalcore or sometimes grime), I like when it’s full on energy (bass house) and I like when it’s like.. you know.. sad (hip-hop songs full of stories and emotions). Of course I like to listen all the mainstream hits from time to time also (pretty often actually).
7) A song that makes you want to dance?
French Montana ft. Swae Lee - “Unforgettable”. Every. F*cking. Time!
Metsakutsu - Pole Piiri (feat. Koit Toome) #1 in the Estonian iTunes top 100 chart
Eile oli selline once in a lifetime hetk, millest olen natukene unistanud, aga ei ole olnud päris kindel, kas ja kuidas see aset leiab. Igatahes eile oli see hetk, mil saime terve squadiga pealaval taustaräpparid olla. Samal ajal sai Eesti Hiphop Festival kümme aastat vanaks. Väga rets.
