I thought this catfish was an exaggeration for comic purpose.

Then I learned catfishes can grow big. Like very big. So I did some researches. Catfishes are 1,5 m (59,05″) to 2 m (78,74″) long. Some specimens can be 2,7 m (106,29″) long.

And you know what? There is an urban legend that says some catfish lurk into shallow water to prey on humans (thought there aren’t proofs of it... yet xD)

Poor Kenta prooved this legend is true in the MFB world.

Maybe one of the funniest of the show. The kind of picture that stay engraved into your mind forever.

I was wondering if it could be a reference to a japanese myth, the Dragon King who lives in the Ryuugu. This Dragon is the king of all dragons, and lives in a palace in the depth of the sea. The inhabitants of his palace and his servants are all submarine creatures.

Maybe Ryuuga sees the other characters of the show like this because he is the Dragon Emperor (not so far from a king then) and, in his mind, they belong to his world (so he transposes them into the ocean).
