Happy Fanfic Friday everyone! Today's fic is "Better Than One," a Masaking fake-dating fic. It's a very fun read, that doesn't overstay it's welcome but manages to put these two in a whole lot of situations during its time, and just genuinely loves presenting these two dumbasses.
Masamune is the perfect friend for King.
Before meeting him, King spent most of his live being sidelined, feared because of his Beyblade skills. He certainly never experienced friendship.
Masamune is childish and enthusiastic. He has no thought for people’s personal space. He gets angry and picks up a fight for the slightest provocation (or what he thinks is a provocation). His character helps King catch up with everything he missed.
Just being able to argue with someone is certainly a relief. King doesn’t have to keep to himself. He can act and react right away, without moderation, because he doesn’t risk of terrifying someone.

happy ace day to the boyfriends of all time! I forgot it was ace day, so finishing this sketch was the most I did. Im sorry, shading doesnt exist.
this is in no way a slight against the creators, I just find it very amusing and interesting how in the official artwork of King his eyes are green and in every other depiction his eyes are blue. It would've been cool if the green was part of his "full power" transformation. Definitely something I wanna keep for headcannon purposes :D
