The Lioness' Arrival - MFT3 Prelude
In a possible future for the world of Remnant, Jackie Yu-Shi would be sat behind her desk at Haven Academy, ever since the defeat of Salem, the world had come to a form of peace with itself, and in the years since, Jackie herself would eventually end up as Haven's headmistress, having been offered the position given what she had done to warrant it.
Many took her seriously, even before getting the position, she was brave enough to enter places where Faunus were not allowed and still come away unscathed with what she was after, especially if others in that place tried to fight her, it got attitudes to change, both in terms of having people be nicer to Faunus, whilst getting others to further their hatred.
As headmistress however, she would still teach classes, at Haven, it was often combat classes where she had to limit herself so as to not harm the students, outside Haven, it was the same deal, teaching at the family dojo alongside wife Silvia and the rest of her family the martial arts that their ancestor Bruce and his fellow martial arts originators created which are still practiced to that day.
There were still restrictions however, even the older students not in Haven still needed care given they were there to learn, and not beaten up like the extras of a kung-fu movie, though, given Lion Form (Hung Gar) was intended as a more defensive style, it was nice to be in a flux of remembering what she was taught, as part of the fight against Salem's forces had her move from it to an advanced form of Dragon Form (Jeet Kun Do).
Even then, training was never really over for her, as well as upgrading her weapon to include Wind Dust for faster strikes, despite how people though she had Wind Dust built in already from how fast she could swing, she became a sword user, most as the sword she got was built to attach to her weapon in bo-staff mode to make it a quandao.
And as for semblance, what used to be absorbing damage to send it back as an attack ball had evolved into something more as Jackie could split the amount of damage energy she could reflect, or use what she had to briefly recover her strength and energy for a timed-boost before crashing out.
Still, the fact she never took part in tournaments because she felt everyone would maybe be too scared to go proper with her, or try to hard and get more hurt than necessary, it left a slight gap in her that wanted to be filled, even though she was happy with what she had, it just nagged her, but perhaps that was the downside to have a reputation like her's.
It'd only be when she'd look through her mail that she noticed a less-than-normal letter, inside was a pamphlet and a pair train tickets, it was for a tournament...in another world, this couldn't be real, could it?
Even giving the rules a read-over, she was still skeptical, this felt like an elaborate trap, after all, why would it just appear after experiencing that void of a lack of a good fight?
Back home, she'd explain to Silvia about it, and even the panda faunus was worried, but they agreed to go together, just in case this was a trap, then it wouldn't one-sided in case the one who set it up was sneaky, which lead to now, the two would board the listed carriage on the tickets, having brought some changes of clothes and the stuff allowed by these rule, and after enough waiting, the carriage would move, and bringing them to this strange world once it finished its travel.
They may be confused by what happened, but now, Jackie had a tournament to compete in the future, for now, the two had to find a place to stay and a place to practice.
