Epicurus was pretty metal; apparently “good memories” is the explanation he gave for how he was able to stay calm and cheerful while dying of kidney stones.
Anyway I never have managed to figure out a way I actually like for drawing beards. That’s kind of a disadvantage in a comic about philosophers.

Regular MGPC updates will be coming to a halt at the end of August. I’ve run low on material, and it’s getting hard to come up with strips that I think are actually funny instead of deadline filler, and I’d rather bring it to a definite end instead of stretching it out and eventually sputtering to an undignified indefinite hiatus. There may be occasional new strips after that as I come up with them, but don’t hold your breath. I’ve got some ideas I’m poking at for a new comic, but I don’t know when they’ll be ready.
Number 50, wow. Not sure how much longer I’ll be able to keep coming up with things for this, but this is already way farther than I’ve managed to get on any other project like this I’ve tried.
