MHGS Re-opens Tomorrow – April 5, 2021
MHGS, Midwest Historical and Genealogical Society, http://mhgswichita.org/ re-opens tomorrow. They have been mostly closed since early December. They were briefly opened as needed for drop-in. Starting tomorrow, it will open Tuesdays and Saturdays 9 AM – 4 PM.

Think it was early March the last time the society was open regular hours. They started opening for people who needed access a while back on as needed basis. They went with opening two hours/day on the days we are open – Tuesdays and Saturdays the beginning of June. This was my first time back since they did the re-opening.

In this post, Well Done Midwest Historical and Genealogical Society – January 4, 2020, I congratulated MHGSfor finishing the 210,000 marriage record scans. The work is under way to index each of the volumes. They have been using a good OCR program which speeds up the indexing a lot.
