Finally caught up with Mahoyaku anime!! So I drew my favourite wizard~

I'm so glad this beautiful, emotional story got a TV adaptation that can help it in getting deserved global recognition. It was such a dream for all these past years. And the dream really came true!

Ahh, watching made me realize how much I missed these characters. Now I need to check out all the new game content and I'm ready to come back to the fandom!

Faust only had one rule when he agreed to this mission: No touching.

He knew firsthand how much you liked cats. It'd be a blatant lie to say if he didn't understand the sentiment—he loved the feeling of fur brushing against his fingers, basking in the tranquility a cat's meow brings to him.

That rule was set in hopes that you wouldn't dare do anything funny. Of course, his fluffy ears and tail only made you more curious which made your fingers twitch with thinly veiled eagerness. He wouldn't let you do what you pleased, of course. He'd rather dig a hole and rot instead of granting your awfully indecent request which was—

"Can I touch your ears?" You pressed their hands together and pleaded. If Faust looked away, it would've been easy denying your absurd request but he was looking and he could see this strange sparkle in your eyes that made all the words stop in his throat. "Please?"

He has to forcefully peel his eyes away. He could not let himself be swayed by a mere question, not when he was so insistent on adding that personal rule.

"No." There was a momentary pause that made him consider his options but he shook his head almost immediately. "I agreed to this because you said you wouldn't ask."

"I didn't say I wouldn't! I just... said that I wouldn't touch you. So I thought it would be fine if I got permission."

Seriously?

"Well, it's still a no."

"It'll feel really good, I swear!"

Huh? What does that even mean?

"Cats really like it when I pet them so I'm sure I can do the same to you."

He can't tell for sure since he's never been on the receiving end but perhaps donning cat features made him more curious, dangerously so. He narrowed his eyes and his tail swayed involuntarily.

"In cat language, you're saying yes right now."

"Shush, I am not."

It's easy to speak. To open his mouth, call their name, and tell them whatever it is he's trying to say.

Or it should be easy, at least.

The first time was a bust. As soon as he opened his mouth, their name died on their tongue and he stood there looking like a fool who suddenly lost the ability to speak. The Sage turned to look at him curiously but he remained motionless—silent.

If he could just say something...

But the Sage's insistence on having Faust call them by their name was a bit too much. Master Sage to their actual name felt like he was crossing a line he was never meant to cross (not that he's unwilling, of course he wants to).

"Hey," was the best he could do at this moment. Sage knows that and gives him grace.
