Q: What words from the members leave an impression on you the most?
Mingyu: “Cool” (in Japanese)! Members usually don’t praise at all so I’m glad to get even a little bit of a compliment whether it’s a joke or serious.
Wonwoo: Mingyu is really cool when singing Trauma.
Vernon: I was just really happy when Wonwoo hyung said the way I was enjoying/loving music is really great.
S.Coups: For me when we released Back It Up, the members said it’s the coolest rap I’ve written so far.
VN: The rap really fits the beat so well and I thought “Ooh~~”
WW: Vernon’s “Ooh~~” is a big compliment.
SC: I know right, when I was playing games and I hear “Ooh~~” I feel like I achieved something great (lol)
WW: Impressive word... what can it be. I can’t think of one right now since it’s so sudden (lol). My personality is someone who isn’t good at giving compliments or receiving them since I get shy about it.
MG: He’s a good guy (lol)
Q: What would you like to say to your members?
MG: I’d like to tell Vernon to always stay healthy. Health is the most important thing so I want people who are important to me to stay healthy.
WW: That’s right, we have to be healthy to make good music, perform well and also if the Carats are well. Both to the members and carats, if our tour and music activities are healing I would be really glad.
MG: I want to tell Wonwoo that I want a camera lens for my birthday. (Everyone laughs)
WW: If you say it here like this, I can’t help but to buy it for you.
VN: Ooh~ Mingyu hyung is really witty after all (lol)
Q: Make a catch phrase for your team.
MG: ‘Ikemen’ (cool/handsome guy in Japanese)
SC: Like crazy visual
VN: How about ‘my way’? Other teams usually discuss with each other during the process of producing music but we write down our own lyrics separately and then match them with each other, right?
MG: So if you put together all it’s ‘Crazy Visual My Way Ikemen’. What do you think?

Q: What did you learn from your members?
WW: Vernon is always humming something daily. When I see him I feel like ‘he really loves music’ and I always get inspired by that.
SC: I started exercising after seeing Mingyu. You can see the results, he looks cool after exercising. After ten months I also have a better body.
WW: These days building body is the latest craze among Seventeen members so I started to do it too (lol).
VN: Me too, after seeing Wonwoo hyung I started working out as well.
MG: I want to learn Wonwoo hyung’s way of expressing his thoughts and intentions. Also I’m envious of S.Coups hyung’s ‘if I decide to do it I’ll do it immediately’ mentality.
SC: I’m the type to act quick (lol)
VN: In my case...
SC: The type who does things without worrying about time!
Q: When was the turning point for the team?
SC: I don’t think there was any turning point in particular.
VN: That’s right. In terms of unity, there was more than just a single experience. Rather than having a single turning point, I feel that it’s more about how we have spent a lot of time with each other and shared the same experiences and the same feelings. It’s not solely about the hip hop team.
WW: (nodding) I think the turning point is not having a turning point, but rather it maybe be happiness for us.
Q: Glasses or hats, which do you like more?
VN: Hat. Specially beanies, I have more than 20 pieces and they are all kept in a special area next to my bed dedicated for beanies only. I really love the black and the striped pattern one.
Q: What do you think you’re best at, among members?
VN: Normally I’m able to shake off stress at once and be alright quickly. I have an optimistic mindset.
Q: What present would you like to give this members? (adjacent members according to age)
SK → VN: Since he’s someone who likes to buy fashion items by himself, I would like to give him things related to health and beauty. I was originally planning to give him a body scrub on his birthday last year, but I couldn’t buy it yet, so I want to buy it as soon as possible and give it to him as a present.
VN → DN: I think I will give him something that he requests. What does Dino want now? When Dino pierced his ears last year, I gave him earrings.
