According to this article, development plans for Watson Island have been on hold since the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Although many people thought the developer, Mehmet Bayraktar, should have lost his hold on the land by now, he will begin developing the land soon thanks to the help of Related Companies. 

This story is similar to storylines in Sick Puppy because of its focus on development of seafront property in Florida.
