Mibbit IRC for Conlangs

so to better promote the chats, for now, i'll just reblog the posts, but later on, that'll be an excuse to write fanfics for this fandom, lol. though, how often i'll post fanfics depends on how long they are...

the sooner i post my fanfics, the quality of them goes down. i noticed this right away. i don't want to post garbage. i want to post things i can be proud of.

the kagehinakage month challenge tested my limits. writing one long ass fic week after week-- uh............................. not a good idea, lol. if i ever write anything past 1500 words, i'll be taking two weeks, not one week.

i already know what fanfic i'll be working on. i'm so frustrated with the kagehina couple lately. it's not a bad thing, i'm just face-palming so hard because they're idiots. lol. i'll be channeling all that frustration in that one wip fic.

it's not a good idea to post wips, unless you're asking for feedback and the disconnected nature of AO3 makes it unable for people to get the feedback they need, sadly. better off posting on ffnet, but yeah... i'll be posting on both sites and tumblr.

as for xmfc, um. <.<;;; if the hq fandom freaks out, i'm gonna hide there, lol.

LOL, okay. Let me set up some guidelines and stuff. i've never hosted anything like it, but I have a pretty good idea how to do that based on my previous fandom.

So.

Steps to take to establish this:

1. Next Friday, I will make an account on mibbit and create the two chat rooms: hq_chat and kagehina_chat. The former is for general hq discussion and the latter is for kagehina shenanigans, lol. 2. Next weekend (and the weekends after), I'll host it. I'll be there, being the mod. 3. Probably establish some quick rules: 1. Be respectful. 2. Feel free to have dissenting opinions, but again, be respectful about it. 3. Have fun. 4. How to get on mibbit:

a. go to this website. b. make up a nickname. c. make sure you are connected on the "mibbit web irc" server. d. type in #hq_chat or #kagehina_chat (or both) on the channel and click connect.

5. I'll be hosting this every weekend. I really adore this fandom. I really do. I'll be reblogging this from now on.

How to use KiwiIRC to connect to Mibbit

Visit https://kiwiirc.com/client

Choose a nickname and enter the channel name prefixed with # (eg #gigolas) where appropriate

THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART. Click "server and network" to show the server settings.

Enter 'irc.mibbit.net' where it says 'Server'

Click "Start".

That should be it! 

KiwiIRC does not allow you to choose favourite channels, to the best of my knowledge, unlike Mibbit. But while Mibbit is being unstable, it does the job.
