Mmmm. I wrote some very very fluffy bits today. I won’t be posting them until I have more parts of it finished, but it’ll be a snippets collection. IF I finish it.

I finally made a big decision for a far distant future path in MIC. And I surprised the hell outta myself with the path I decided on.

Oromis returning to his hut after meditating to find a drunk Brom and Arya inside arguing about the nuances of Arya’s teleportation of Saphira’s egg is something I will write soon. After homework. So like...Monday.

(I think Arya probably would have had it planned out and memorized the words needed to teleport the egg near enough to Brom that he would be the first one to it while not killing the poor guy and practiced to the point of muscle memory, but when you get those two drunk together I feel like it becomes a lot of friendly petty squabbles, pranking, and just two friends together getting absolutely shitfaced and later not remembering a lick of what happened.)

A (GOOD!) Update on Modern Inheritance: Dichotomy and moving forward!

So! Ket things out of the way first! Turns out I was having sorta manic-panic episode because the dosage of the anti-anxiety/anti-depressant med I've been on for 15 years needed to be increased. And holy nutballs, just a few days in and I'm already feeling so much better. Did you know you could regulate emotions? and not suddenly feel just BIG EMOTIONS for 30 minutes to 4 hours and then go back to normal?? So yeah. It looks like some of my big feelings around the whole view count and giving up things and such could be wrapped up in that.

BUT! onwards to the even better news! News about MIC!

The second part of the Dichotomy two shot on Ao3 is COMPLETE! However, I am going to let it sit for a little bit, marinate, and come back to do a final round of edits before posting. Once it's up over there, I'll put both parts here on tumblr.

AND! When I post them on tumblr! I will post the link to the currently quite small Modern Inheritance Discord. It's not much, but if you're interested you can certainly join. It has unpublished/unposted shorts, random dialogue pieces, old art from my WeirdPonytail days, lore, and a hell of a lot of my thought process and muttering to myself. There's also places to ask questions, make suggestions, etc., and just regular social areas to general chatter and talk for non-MIC or IC related stuff. An 18+ area is also around for me making bad jokes about the smut I never post and screenshots of said smut.

PS- I got past the conventional torture part in Murtagh. Mid. BDSM claws? Just those and mental torture? Bachel, honey, you have a creature that gives you weird and wild ass dreams. That you're not going past that and a few nerve tweaks (ngl I'm a bit salty I thought the nerve torture was sorta uh...my thing but that's my ego talking) is just...just so disappointing. You had Durza there. Motherfucking flaming headed fuckboi! Just...absolute waste. I know it worked but it's...okay this is awful but yes, it worked more because you were torturing Thorn rather than the damage done to Murtagh. Murtagh will always cave when Thorn is tortured. All the Chaos Trio Dragon Riders would fold if their partners/loved ones were being harmed. My babby girl included! There are two reasons why Glen was not captured despite being alive, and this is one of them!

I'm tired. I wanted some fresh ideas from that but...smfh. The depiction of fading in and out, mind muddled and out of it even when not on stinky old lady breath was good, but come on. Give us more meat!

...I need to say this for clarity, I'M NOT INTO ANY OF THIS STUFF LIKE...SEXUALLY. I just find the combination of biology, physiology and psychology so amazingly interesting! I don't pick the hyperfixations. And I've been like this for a while. So. It's not gonna stop anytime soon and I've embraced it.

Took a bit of a break from writing Stabilize continuation yesterday so I could have fresh eyes on it. Hopefully gonna get through more of the plot establishment stuff later today and (fingers crossed, as I’m having fun with it and it’s got/had my general attention the last few days) more of the Eragon-Glenwing-Saphira interaction I started on Sunday.

I know Stabilize is another ‘definitely not for everyone’ story due to the injury description and some medical elements, but as we get past the more gruesome bits I’m hoping the character interaction and banter holds at least a few of you beyond my wonderful beta reader crew. If not, ah well! I got my character development done and dusted with it and will be happy with that achievement.

Btw, it’s mostly stuff I’ve babbled to people about, but I’m trying to highlight in some of the later/upcoming Stabilize parts that Saphira has her own relationships with characters. She and Glen are very close (Eragon mentions in this next bit that Glen is ‘her favorite,’ and I was pushing that Saphira had her own memories and thoughts of Arya beyond Eragon’s own in the first of Eragon’s POV chapters. I’m also showing some of the individual relationships/dynamics Eragon and Saphira have with the members of the elven guard and the relationships they have amongst themselves.

And goddamn it would Paolini give us the rest of the forsworn and the spellcaster names?! FFS I’m no good at making IC elf names. They use accents too much and I can’t friggin figure them out.

Escape release(s)

I’m gonna chop this up into sections about 3000-4000 words each and release the first during lunch break. I’ll have a bit more time to clean up the ending of ‘part one’ that way.

So, what I guess is technically Escape pt 2.1 is gonna be out around 11am est? I donno why I’m getting so official it’s fanfiction.

Not gonna lie, guys. I've been playing pokemon all weekend (and spent like 6 hours roughly reading an Italian book on the show I used to write stories for). I did do the audio edits to legendary that I wanted to do (removing Antinous' vocals and the suitor vocals beyond the 'whOOOA-OH!' bits. I'll probably do more tinkering to bring back the 'punch' of the bass in that part but for now, I've found the length of each portion for the walk cycle, which is the biggest part i think since I never do those and the pre-set poses are...well, they leave things to be desired.

but yeah.

Sorry the big creative burst didn't happen this round.
