Originally established in 1895, The Stronghold was the first denim brand to be manufactured in Los Angeles and became known for Americana, craftsmanship and heritage. When Paradise began reproducing the line, he wanted to maintain that reputation and, to be historically correct and stay true to the brand, he decided to focus in on The Stronghold’s most iconic styles from the pre-war era. Watch the video to hear Paradise speak about the brand and to get a behind the scenes look at the company’s denim production. I have been telling people about Michael for a couple of years now, a real denim lover with a passion for what he does, if you make it down to shop on a friday or saturday night, be sure to check out the Stronghold speakeasy upstairs for some eclectic sounds, and a great atmosphere usually abbot kinney locals, fashion heads, and friends of the brand, a real "venice original".
