Operation Sanctuary charge in Northumbria
A man has been charged as part of Operation Sanctuary.
Michael Rezene, 18, of Studdon Walk, Kenton Bar, has been charged with two counts of rape of a female under 16 and is due to appear at Newcastle Magistrates Court this afternoon.
The charges relate to an incident on, Sunday, February 16, in Walker.
This brings the total number of people charged under Operation Sanctuary to 14.
