Collective Cadenza, founded by Joe Sabia, Michael Thurber and Matt Mccorkle is a musical collective that has brought together some of NYC’s finest young performers. When I asked Michael what inspired him to found this group, he said-

We wanted to create a place where we could openly experiment with music and video and by doing so, create a fun platform for conservatory trained musicians.

They’ve brought incredible energy and spirit to some instruments that don’t typically connect with this audience. The creativity and and range of performances has helped to blow past 6 million views on their YouTube channel, since launching in May 2012. As of today, the collective exceeds 72 talented folks, ranging from pianist to whistler to accordion and much more.
