Day 6

Today an attractive woman appeared in the office and requested to sell her handbags to the office workers. Michael was weak and fell for her instantly and allowed her to sell. She was the ideal woman to bare my children. Jim confirmed that she would be perfect for me, but she had already been talking with Michael a lot so I assumed she was interested in him. However, Jim convinced me to try talking to her about being a salesman, and the origin of my last name. He also came up with the perfect fall back: that I buy a purse. Apparently lots of men use purses for, well, I'm not sure what they use them for but they use them alright. As I had never encountered a purse before, I was actually mistaken for how it is used, and tried to put it on my feet, but Katie informed me that that is in fact how you do not use a purse. I finally made my selection, and Jim thought it looked good. When Michael called me into his office for computer troubles, I took my opportunity and asked Michael's permission to ask out Katie, however Michael shot me down and told me he was already giving Katie a ride home that evening. If I know Michael Scott, than that means he will make his move that night. I waited all day, but finally I gathered the courage to ask Katie out. Once I blurted it out, she rejected me. I hung my head and returned to my desk, saddened by this whole experience.
