#folksbierhopsyard is completely weeded and ready to rig and train the hops. The plants will start shooting up in the next couple weeks when the weather in Northern Michigan begins to warm up a little. #hopyard #hops #michiganhops

Another from #folksbierhopsyard from last May. This is before this Hallertau bine was trimmed and trained up the 20 ft high trellis. They are working in organic chicken fertilizer now to get the plants the massive amount of nutrients they need to produce a full yield (1 ton of chicken poo this year for this field). #hops #hopfarm #michiganhops

Got a dispatch from #folksbierhopsyard in MI. The snow finally melted and the folks at the farm cleaned up the field. You can really see the red iron rich sandy soil here which is ideal for hops. We will be heading up there next month to finish setting up the yard and help with spring training. #hops #hopfarm #hopyard #michiganhops
