Harvey! He grew up in a circus and was the star of the show, along with his best friend, Michigan J. Frog! You might remember Michigan...he was the famous Warner Brothers singing frog from the 50's. Harvey would balance on a tightrope and Michigan would sing. The circus made thousands of dollars off the duo. One day, however, someone left the door of Harvey's cage open and he escaped, never to be captured again. He ran into the forest and hid among the trees and ferns. When the circus ring master found out he had escaped, he said "don't worry about him, we can always train another bear...it's that singing frog that makes us rich". Of course, Michigan was heart broken and never sang again. Finally the ring master got tired of feeding Michigan and let him go. Michigan spent the next year looking for Harvey and, one day, found him! Harvey was pretty easy to spot, since his marks were painted on with permanent paint when he was just a little cub.
