Just realized I never posted this. Another autobiographical comic about guilt, memory, and creativity.

Transcript:

"It may have once been there, but it isn't there now."

"Why not?"

"What do you mean, why not?"

"How do you know it's gone?"

"I can feel that it's gone. I know it's gone."

"Feel it where?"

(Points to head) "in here."

"Hmm, well, that is pretty huge."

"What is?"

"The DOUBT."

"The DOUBT?"

"Yes, yours is quite large. How long have you known it's there?"

"Ages. It's like a vital organ."

"Does it surprise you?"

"Not even a little bit."

"Of course not. You know who put it there."

"I suppose that's true."

"It isn't possible to leave behind. But you can make it smaller."

"How?"

"By surviving."

"It's all I've done thus far."

"Then you're on the right track."

"I am?"

"Yes."

"You're doing everything they hated, and you're alive."

(The first speaker's identity returns. Their eyes open.)

"Okay."

the day before i drew this my car got hit by a deer

something a little different!

i’ve had the itch to return to traditional mediums for a while now. this year has been pretty rotten for me, so on impulse i bought a pocket sketchbook for that precious dopamine. i filled 14 pages within the first 24 hours.

so far i’m only using my trusty micron pn and pentel multi 8 .. with the occasional mildliner for the colors i don’t have.
