This is #True but we can imagine it in our heads
MIDNIGHT SLEUTH
Hey. You know what we haven’t had at all, during our time in 2012? SOMETHING NOT HOMESTUCK RELATED. So we’re breaking the imagination bank with this fanadventure…something related to Problem Sleuth! Though not a sleuthlike, because the presentation and art style are nowhere NEAR MSPA’s rendition of the titular detective; instead, we have a more 2000s webcomic style when it comes to the artwork of this webcomic. Which is also how I would describe this webcomic’s writing style as, as well. Like, we’re back to Roomland Manly Machismo-stylings of humor, folks.
I’m struggling to say anything of substance about this. “It’s Problem Sleuth if it was turned into a 2000s gamer webcomic combined with an ASK BLOG, but without the gamey aspects (and also the charm) of the OG comic.” Like there it is, that’s it, summed up in one quote. It’s not bad, it’s just…not good. Also, and this is a note I’m finding comes up more times than not, it feels like the author doesn’t really want to use the audience suggestions, but also is using the audience suggestions? Like, the plot doesn’t really incorporate them, as much as it has a time where the audience can make dumb jokes, and then plot happens. Which is. Lurching to say the least. And that’s basically it. Yeah.
This is how that went, right?
"Let me see what you have."
"A knife!"
"NO!"
I was rereading @selanpike's Midnight Sleuth and I all I could think of was this
I regret nothing
