TOMORROW IS MIDWAY MADNESS!!!!!!

That’s right, it’s the halfway point. Don’t worry if you haven’t hit that 25k mark yet... or even if you haven’t hit that 1k mark! The midway is a magical event where people crank out words like nobody’s business. Previous years have seen a cumulative total of 150,000 words written during this event! Plus, there’s food and prizes and a STICKER CHART!!!!!

Midway Madness!

You've made it! You're halfway through! (exactly halfway, this year...) You probably have a decent handle on the plot, and characters who are learning and growing!

What's that I hear you wailing? You're not at 25k yet? 

Don't give up! Come out to the Midway Madness Party and join the rest of the region for delicious food, endless word wars, and loads of fun! The event will be going almost all day, from 12:30-7:00pm at the Ferndale City Public Library.

Hey everyone! Yesterday's midway madness party was a fantastic success, and I hope everyone who turned up had a great time. 

The food was fabulous, the people were amazing, and the words flowed! We wound up with a cumulative word count of 164 000 words! That's three nanos in one day!

Pat yourself on the back, nanowrimotown, and buckle in for two more weeks of writing and wackiness.

Hopefully we'll see you at write-ins in the coming weeks, and do try to come out for the One Last Push party on the 30th!

Midway Madness!

You did it! You're halfway through the month! 

What's that? You're not quite at 25k yet?

No problem! Come on out to the Midway Madness Party and join the rest of the Detroit region for a few hours of writing like crazy! There's also a potluck lunch, snacks, giveaways, and another spectacular, one-time-only badge! It's an almost-all-day event, going from 11:00am-5:30pm at the Ferndale Public Library, so stay for hours or just pop in for a while on your way to somewhere else!
