Day 5 of 30 days of giving back. I enjoy my time as a governing council member of the Maricopa Integrated Health System FQHC look-a-likes (FQHC LAL). This is an all volunteer board that is responsible for the direction of the FQHC LAL’s. I am constantly learning more about what access to health cate means. We are discovering outcomes to various decision and policies. We delve into the world of population health management and social determinants of health. This year is an extremely exciting time and many things are in motion regarding Prop 480 funding and the MIHS bond. We are looking for new Governing Council Members with the following preferences: -You must get excited about helping the community reach their health goals. -You must be a user of MIHS services. -You can not be a current employee. -You must be able to meet on the first weds evening of every month and maybe two other various days throughout the month.
