Eren drew yet another card in this practice duel. The latest attempt to help Eren not only channel his anger, but find a hobby to keep him busy aside from martial arts and wrestling, both of which despite having Eren still got his butt handed to him in some fights.

This would hopefully help channel the anger in an even better way that led to less injuries for him. He definitely wanted to avoid those going forward. Especially since his siblings where still small enough fro him to make into airplanes, an activity they both enjoyed.

He smirked now seeing what he had drawn.

“Oh Mikasa the end is here, my strongest card is ready to wipe you out!” Eren got excited as he performed his summon. “From the land of fires far away, comes a magical soldier here to stay! Come to me my Flame Swordsman!” (Flame Swordsman/lvl 5/Warrior/1800/1600)

“Say goodbye to your face down Monster Mikasa! Flame Swordsman attacks your face down defensive monster!” Eren says smuggly.

The Lion Returns

It had been two weeks since the vicious encounter between herself and the Wolf. Annie knew that another encounter would result in her death, and after reaching a safe zone where anarchy doesn't rule and there's relative peace withing Tokyo's inner districts, she sought out one of her old mentors and brilliant scientist, Hange Zoe, who was in town on government duties.

The upgrades provided to her augments, as well as repairing the cybernetic arm that was almost torn off, she was fit and ready for combat duty again. All she needed now was a new blade seeming as it was taken away. But that could wait. Heading back up to the surface, Annie sprang into action once more. Faster, stronger and with a new HUD that allows her to pinpoint weaknesses within armour as well as highlight which targets were who she needed to kill.

Back in Azumabito territory, she wore a black trench coat as well as a hood, HUD already activated and new glasses on. She had to be careful, the Lion without her pack is vulnerable and she was sure that the clansmen were out for her head. She kept her head down, killing any clansmen that blocked her way with swift efficiency, using the dagger that was wedged into her shoulder as her replacement blade for now.

This would most certainly get the attention of her target...

A Battle with Death

All she saw was a flash of light and then pitch black darkness...

A group of Scouts returned along with Hange who was leading the operation, but with her, she was carrying a severely injured Annie who was bleeding out. She made an effort to warn the other military members not to tell Mikasa or her squadron about the injury, she knew what would happen if someone did. Hange carried the injured blonde all the way back to the infirmary, where the medics began working hard to stop the bleeding as well as lessen the chance of Annie slipping away.

Hange left and closed the door behind her, letting out a sigh before setting herself down on a bench nearby. Waiting for anyone who cared to come...

"The winner and still your world champion, Annie Leonhardt!"

The crowd erupted into thunderous cheers and applause, the bruised and battered champion standing victorious in the middle of the ring after one of her more gruelling matches. Mina Carolina was definitely a force to be reckoned with but against Annie, she was still too inexperienced. That didn't mean that she didn't give Annie a run for her money though. She was left with a black eye as well as a cut lip and a gash on her cheek.

Heading backstage with her coach, she sat down in her locker room and let out an exhausted sigh. She sipped from her water bottle and waited for her sparring partner and fellow combatant to arrive, knowing she was about to get scolded big time.

"You all know the drill, when she arrives here, and she will. Get the fuck out and leave us in peace." Annie told some of the press who were waiting and her own camp and coach.

Eren finished his preparations and got his item sack on his back. He was excited, today was finally the day. The barbarian was going out with his sister, a tiefling barbarian known as Mikasa, and their Cleric friend Armin. They had spent months planning this, and months preparing and training. A first journey was such a huge milestone. He looked over his shoulder, peering at Mikasa’s closed door as he left his room and knocked at her door.

“Hey Mikasa, are you almost finished? Armin  is probably waiting for us at the town gate by now. Knowing him he packed last week and double checked every night since then.” He laughed. That was one of many lovable quirks about the blond male. Though it could drive Eren and Mikasa up the wall.

“I am so excited for this, that treasure is so gonna be ours. It will so help the town as well.” Besides, it gave Eren an excuse to fight, which was really something that he did to some extent enjoy to do.

// absolutely! bel wants to befriend everyone in the legion at a superficial level at the very least. it’d make taking care of them off the field much easier for sure, as well as help her figure out how to best aid them under stress too. this is especially true of the 104th, as she has the softest spots for the younger soldiers in the Legion. for your mikasa in particular, she wants to support her through the tough choices she has to make and help her deal with the conflictions of potentially siding with annie after what happened during the 54th. both girls have her support and protection for sure! (even though they’re both probably a lot stronger than she is sjkdfnaskfn she’d use her seniority!)

// this is almost a given because bel’s just LIKE THIS. unless plotted otherwise, she symbolically adopts each 104th soldier into her care as if they’re her own children throughout her main verses. the technicalities of their relationships change as the canon progresses, but i don’t think her feelings about your mikasa would change at all. even as the shifters’ identities come to light and if mikasa decides to side with annie, there would still be a part of her that would want to support them. if we use bel’s shifter au, she could probably be more capable of doing so.
