Mike Ames - Little Lion Man / Mumford & Sons cover
In the face of very real chance I lose my street cred, I have to admit I have no idea whether this cover is good or not, as I haven't heard the original. It may well be a total rip-off, but I don't think so.
In any case, I liked it.
Mike Ames - Someone Like You / Adele cover
I didn't realize I was looking for this cover til I heard it. Simple, and simply beautiful. I love Adele's voice but I love her writing even better, if possible. Her songs are so relateable that just about anyone can sing them and sound . . . legit.
Mike Ames manages to make this song personal without having it be too whiney . . . and yeah, you know who I'm talking about.
