The Science Fiction Encyclopedia calls Santana Morning "an unremarkable collection of sf stories." Mike Dolan's collection can't have made much of an impression, as there is almost no information available online about him or any contemporary professional reviews of his book. 

Bottom-of-the-barrel publisher Powell Publications put out only 23 SF&F books in two years before folding, and although they published Harlan Ellison and Karl Edward Wagner most of their titles, like this one, are unmemorable.
