My last boyfriend...This video is like funnny, but I actually hate the wording. Like it was sorta "manic pixie dream girl" for me. It was being slowly treated like I was a kid 😑I graduated with honours. I've worked for years. I lead people. I make decisions. I make my own money and pay taxes. I build shit. I don't need someone explaining the world to me like I'm five but i have a theory (like most of the woke internet does) that manic pixie dream girls are lit just neurodivergent But somehow because I'm neurodivergent I'm suddenly "socially slow," "too loud," "too much" or "too spontaneous?" I SWEAR this happens to so many neurodivergent women. At first you're "cute" because youre different. Then the second your differences stop being entertaining, people start talking to you like you're incapable. Not because youve changed but because they've stopped seeing you as an equal or smth.
Looking back, that's why I'm weirdly at peace with my breakup. I was with someone who started treating me like I needed to be managed instead of trusted.
