Off the Beaten Path -Terence and Milori-

Milori could no longer fly. Though he had selfishly kept that detail to himself. He didn’t want to come off as weak or incapable to his fellow fairies as he had already failed to keep them safe before. He saw no use in the information to others anyways. It was not their burden to bare. They had enough on think on. Both his winter fairies and the ones who had so graciously offered them refuge while they got everything sorted out.
Since he could not fly he saw it easier to walk back to the Hollow when he didn’t want to bother Eira. But that was alright, he needed to familiarize himself with the forest once more. At one point he had known it quite well, but it had changed, as everything had, since he’d been away.
There was a break in the trees and Milori stopped to look up at the sky, just for a moment. In that moment he caught a glimpse of a familiar shape passing over. He smiled, it seemed a fairy was returning back to the Hollow, reminding him that he should probably be on his way back as well. Only when he thought about the way back did he realize the direction the fairy over head had gone was not the way back to the Hollow. They were much farther out, and they seemed to be going even farther.
He moved quickly, trying to keep up, but didn’t need to as the fairy didn’t go much farther until they came down. Milori watched as they ducked in between rocks that looked far to dangerous. He quickly made his way over, going back to his true form, and followed after them.
