They had successfully installed a new Queen to play as a figurehead, but that didn’t mean that there was no more problems within the walls. The average citizen was content, but certainly not people who had used to work for the King. The Military Police that didn’t want to side against the King and hadn’t been captured were running about under the radar as the Scouting Legion had just a week before, and were furious about it. They wanted revenge, and that’s how Levi and Hange both ended up coming to in a strange room, tied to their chairs.
They had been going about their days as usual, but when either of them were separate from prying eyes, someone was there to take them by surprise. Levi had put up more of a fight, but because he was already off-balance from a surprise hit to the head, he ended up being knocked unconscious, as well.
Hange opened her eyes slowly, her head still hurting from the blow to the head. The room was dimly lit, but there were plenty of voices around her. One of the voices apparently noticed that she had come to, and she blinked as her hair was grabbed and her head pulled upward, where she could see Levi across from her. So he was in trouble, too.
