I'm pretty sure someone has already put this idea into the universe before but the aikatsu series I want to see more than anything is Aikatsu St4rs 〜an Aikatsu Stars prequel〜 which covers the original S4 starting out as idols up to when they become S4. we got the main beats in flashbacks but I always thought they were more interesting than most of the mcs (sorry) and I really wanted them to have more solos.

honestly most of my aikatsu wishes are about the game rather than the show, bc every time I think wistfully about the show I just watch oldkatsu again and problem solved. all I can think of is the first time I heard the title 'aikatsu planet' and imagined an aikatsu that took place in outer space, or in the future, or both. having Aikatsu join Macross and AKB0048 in the very specific genre of idols in space would be a dream come true..... (yes, I realize this is unrealistic)

I do have other specific things:

idol brands and designers

A GOTH IDOL!! MORE THAN ONE IS OK TOO

music and singers I want to listen to

PRs that look like PRs, Rs that look like Rs, Ns that look like anything instead of absolutely nothing

writers that remember that Ichigo never, ever, ever became Starlight Queen

but wait, that's just what I like abt oldkatsu, so all I have to do is watch oldkatsu again. problem solved......

anyway, as of now aipura is on unit stage s2, so that means they’re planning to release a new series (s3) with new stuff, with less than a whole month left. literally why bother!!

there’s a lot of comments assuming there’s a new series after this but there would definitely be news already if they had something lined up, it is unthinkable to announce the end of a game/series before previewing a new one. whatever you do, do not waste your energy anticipating a new aikatsu series.

I’ve tried to not go on and on abt it but I think it’s no surprise that I couldn’t care less abt aipura ending! maybe if there was like. a single song I enjoyed at all in the entire series...... but imo they all suck. if anything I feel a sort of evil validation for not liking aipura!! I know there are people who do like it though so enough of this lmao

I do think it’s kind of a shame that it seems like the cabinet they went out of their way to remake isn’t going to be used anymore (for aikatsu at least, maybe it gets reskinned for some other game). that said if they brought back on parade (they won’t, but I can dream) I would throw away the fancy new cabinet in a hot second for the old grimy one with jammed buttons and fucking good music and characters and coords that are more than one single detail on a smooth flat plane and motivations to play and 100 yen cards and

just some aipura start dresses before I go throw myself at the mercy of the little gnome inside the primagi cabinet who decides what card I get. the top two (Bloomy, Spring) are from the youtube channel, the bottom two (Charm Pink, Wonderful) are from the latest fanbook. I’m using it on Biscuit with the matching Wonderful Ribbon Hat currently 🌟 exciting to finally have an accessory on her + a relief to not be using the last one anymore, it made her look like a fucking cop lmao (also present: a hairstyle used on Biscuit for only one game)

the whole reason I played planet the other day was the start of a new Trend Fes with new avatar parts, including this almost-perfect hairstyle called Country Twintails!! it’s not garlic bulbs (if you don’t know what I mean by that at this point I can’t help you) but it’s the next best thing. I also couldn’t resist these eyes any longer, they’re soooo pretty even if they maybe add too many colors.
