Henlo, yesss, I believe this bug is the nymph of a Western Milkweed Bug (Lygaeus k. kalmii), family Lygaeidae.

Lots of wildlife out and about on this hot beautiful morning. The water level has gone down in all the ponds and the river. But for now everything is so green.
