Hello, this is BLUE. He is a 4-6~ year old gluttony demon!
Yep! That is his real form! Underneath all that human "skin", he is really a serpenty little goof with six eyeballs and pin-straight horns.
His biological sex is female while his chosen presentation is male. That feels like a weird sentence right? It is fully applicable to his species but not to the way humans refer to themselves. This is because he is something like a clownfish, and is a sequential hermaphrodite.
But unlike clownfish, Blue and his species have a unique social order. With the same sapience as humans, unique "genders" tied to or free of biological sex appear. Many roles and expectations we think to be gendered are unisex to gluttony demons and vise versa.

Being trans doesn't exactly exist for gluttony demons, not in the way it exists for us. Neither does patriarchy or matriarchy exist for them.. or a big government for that matter. They exist only as small temporary families.
In the formative 3 years before sexual maturity, demonic larvae have no sexual characteristics and are an age linked unisex gender until they develop sexual characteristics. After puberty, they will be biologically female or male (occasionally with intersex conditions from development)
In the photo above, theres two examples of the additional genders. Male Sex + Female Presentation and Female Sex + Male Presentation. These demons purposely choose to have the sex opposite to the gender they present as or take the non-sex linked roles for.
In society they are treated as their presenting gender and have no need for pride as we do since there's no complex discussions or stigmas about their choices. During mating season, many pairs switch their sexes and interchange roles. You're a different gender than your sex? Cool, but have you gained enough fat to reasonably beat me at a brawl for potential mates? HA, YOU FUCKIN WISH!
I mean, in mating season, your sex essentially becomes determined through combat. Fattest cliffmaster who can knock weaker demons off the best nest spots becomes the master female while the defeated partner usually becomes male unless discussed otherwise between the pair.
Female demons are usually fatter since they need the bulk to stay inside the nest at all times and produce a fatty milk for 3 years before demon babies wean off.
