There are no words to describe the aftermath, the wreckage, and the devastation after the storm of an online romance scam. In fact, it can all be so very traumatizing for victims that it can sadly result in suicide.
This very silent, personal tragedy devastates lives, including mine.
Although it's not easy, I've decided to tell the world my story, my truth, about my experience with a specific man who primarily goes by the name of Marco Chovi.
Why?
Because the world needs to know the truth about this unemployed, travelling, multi-billionaire who lives life in the lap of luxury on his victims' dimes.
While most days I'm numb and remain in shock, I am angry enough to find the bravery and courage to not be silent. This journey of telling my truth will hopefully be cathartic for me. I also hope that other victims find some comfort, some peace, some solace in knowing they are not alone. I safely welcome them here.
That said, I welcome everyone. Feel free to vent, expose, talk, or even challenge me. You can remain anonymous if you wish.
My goal is for my perpetrator to know that I will never stop telling the world my experiences with him until he pays me back all the money he scammed from me, plus interest and damages; or until he is behind bars; or both.
If this man is innocent, let him step forward and proclaim his innocence. Instead, he conveniently blocks anyone who respectfully attempts to engage in conversation with him regarding this "Marco scam" tragedy. If he's innocent, please have him speak to law enforcement, as several criminal complaints have been filed against him. Instead, he chooses to hide behind his social-media accounts, blocking anyone who dare utter a word.
Now, if he feels I'm defaming him, well, then he is welcome to take me to court and sue me, or press charges against me (even though I'm not committing any crimes).
The point is that, in order to silence me and prevent me from destroying his name and reputation, he'd have to return all money as indicated previously; or he'd have to "show up" in person to go through the legal system, which he's too much of a coward to do.
Mind you, this is not extortion, bribery, or blackmail on my end --- I'M THE VICTIM HERE. And if I don't take action by telling the truth and demanding my money returned, there will be other victims, and there will also be other copycats of this sociopathic narcissist.
In sum, if I can prevent others from becoming trapped in his web of deceit.... If I can alert those close to him about his criminal activities...
I will be at peace.
So, now...
Where do I begin?
