One badass kidnapped Alt and a crazy Illusion from the stream last night!!
Hey look it’s a finalized design of Illusion! So, mind controlled boyo here doesn’t bleed or cry normally, he bleeds and cries static. He wears his old mask around his neck kinda like a hunting trophy like “Marvin magnificent whom??” (He can’t actually remember ooops) Then he gots them puppet strings just like his master so he can make more puppets! But they get tangled around his body and fingers, he gets a little excited.
He uses mainly Illusion magic (shocker) and hypnosis to ensnare his targets and wrap em up in their strings so they can feel just as good as he does! But a puppet of a puppet isn’t gonna be very...ya know
Don’t worry I’ll be writing more of this guy very very soon >;3c
Hey I feel bad for not posting much this weekend cuz of work and like role playing XD so here’s some sketches that inspired the last part of Glitched Mind! Illusion is very joker-esque in these and yeah it gives me the chillies!
I drew a lot today in between stories! Mostly more Illusion and then trying my hand at long haired Marvin (still prefer short tbh) and then a Zarkie family portrait from the last Swap Meet Part!
Glitched Mind (Part 2)
Part 1: [x] More Illusion: [x]
Jackie’s on patrol when he gets a strange buzz of static on his radio, causing him to stop and almost take his earpiece out. Then he hears it. That chilling familiar laugh that sends shivers down his spine.
“Hello, hero,” The glitch purrs in his ear, “Surprised?”
“Anti,” Jackie growls, looking around at the nearby buildings, body braced for an ambush, ‘What the hell do you want?”
Anti chuckles, savoring the impatience he can feel radiating from Jackie as he takes his time to respond, “No need to get your tights in a bunch! I just have something… no… someone i think you might be interested in collecting…”
There’s another quick burst of static, threatening to deafen Jackie before the line quiets and all Jackie can hear is quick panicked breathing. There’s a hitched sob and a rustling before a voice joins the background static, “JAcKiI-ieBboY?!” The voice is glitched to all hell but Jackie would know it anywhere. His breath hitches.
“Marvin?!”
“H-heElp!” Marvin’s voice cries through the static as it crescendos in the earpiece, “d-D-DoN’t LeT hiM-!” The line cuts with another loud burst of static and Jackie’s eyes widen as he presses his fingers to the device, trying to reconnect the line.
“Marvin? Marvin!”
More quiet this time, he hears the static rise as a whisper slithers in his ear, “Better hurry up hero, time’s a ticking~!” Jackie is about to curse the glitch out when a rumble on his hip catches his attention. He pulls out his tracking device, and sees a quick glitch across the surface before an address appears and the red dot starts blinking towards an address just a couple blocks away. Jackie squints at the dot in confusion, then looks out at the city’s horizon.
“...What game are you playing, Anti..?” He whispers to himself. Then he shrugs and leaps off the building. He had a brother to save.
Jackie approaches the address cautiously, adjusting his gadgets and swallowing hard. He has a bad feeling. But isn’t every feeling associated with Anti a bad feeling?
Jackie takes a second to pull out his phone, sending a quick message to his brothers. He might be able to handle this on his own… but he might not. But let’s stay positive.
Slowly, Jackie entered the empty office building, rundown and condemned. A perfect place for Anti and his chaos. Jackie wanders down the hall, fists ready for a fight. Then he hears a scream that sounds like Marvin’s. And he’s running.
He runs and runs, running towards a bright blue light at the end of the hallway, following what sounds like Marvin. But as he approaches it sounds less like screaming and more like.. Laughing? Jackie skids to a stop as he reaches the room and nearly falls over at the sight.
Marvin is standing in front of him. But everything about him is wrong. HIs entire form shifts and twitches with green and blue glitches and static. His clothes are a ruined and ripped mess. His cape is long gone and glowing blue strings are wrapped and tangled tightly around his arms and legs and some of his fingers. As he turns around, Jackie audibly gasps and stumbles back at the sight.
Marvin’s eyes are empty sockets just filled with pure static. His neck is cut like Anti’s but instead of blood, it’s also leaking static. He’s wearing his mask around his neck instead of on his face and he regards Jackie with a terrifying grin that stretches his face in a way that’s no way natural. He laughs madly as he glitches forward slightly, his glitching not nearly as smooth and defined as Anti’s as he trips over his own feet and giggles.
“S-sSo yoU’re hEre!” He grins, “tHE hEro O-oNe R-ri-IghT?!” Marvin’s voice skips and jolts around like it was put through a bad glitch filter as he twitchily stalks towards Jackie. The hero swallows and wishes he could stop the shaking that’s starting in his knees.
“j-JaCkiEBoYyyy-? jAckIEboY M-MaNn??” Marvin questions loudly, his head twitching back and forth as he laughs, “S-sEems LiKe a b-BaD n-NamE to Me! Y-yOU d-DoN’t lOoK LiKe MucH of a MaN!” Marvin then bends over at the stomach, laughing like madman at his own joke (?). “mUcH LeSs A HeRO!!”
Jackie felt hot tears spring up and he tried to blink them away. “W-What the hell?” He whimpered, “M-Marvin… What did Anti do to you?!”
The magician paused at that, stopping his laughter and focusing his eyes on the hero. He tilted his head painfully to the side before another wicked grin spread across his face.
“M-mArVIn? w-WhO’s ThAt-t?” He glitches again but this time it’s smoother and suddenly he’s right in front of Jackie, soulless static eyes boring straight through him. Jackie yelps and tries to scramble back and Marvin giggles louder. “W-wAs t-ThAT mY n-NamE bEfoRe? wHeN I wOrE T-tHis?” Marvin hooks a finger under the mask around his neck , lifting it slightly towards the hero. “cUz mY MaStER gAvE a NeW nAMe! I LiKe iT sO mUcH bEtTeR-r!” Marvin grins wider, looking like an excited child and Jackie pushes him away with a heavy breath.
“No! Fucking S-Stop it! You’re Marvin! No matter what that fucking glitch tells you!” Jackie screams at the magician, his fists flaring up with silver blue power.
Neon green irises flash and pulse in the empty static of Marvin’s eyes and suddenly the glitches in the room multiply. There are two more Marvins in front of Jackie, four more, six more- All of them start cackling, the glitching laughter grating so hard on Jackie’s ears that he bends over slightly from the strain, covering his ears. They start to surround the hero while he’s down and he’s grabbed and he tries to punch out but all he hits is glitches and static. Marvin’s laughter threatens to swallow him whole.
“My nAmE iS iLLuSiOn, hErO…” Marvin giggles as he strides forward and trails fingers underneath Jackie’s chin, a motion way to similar to Anti. Jackie shivers and tries to kick out at him but in a flash of glitches, his leg is tangled up in glowing blue strings.
“F-Fuck!” Jackie curses, struggling against the strings. Suddenly rough jagged nails grab his leg and toss his body, the strings snapping and sending Jackie crashing headfirst into the nearest wall. The hero coughs and tries to right himself, blinking dizziness out of his eyes.
The laughter dies down to just one as Marvin glitches around the room spastically. Jackie quickly tries to get to his feet, trying to track Marvin’s movement, but the magician is moving too fast to track. There’s a buzz of static before Marvin is in front of Jackie, digging brightly colored claws into Jackie’s face and laughing madly. Jackie screams and tries to kick out, he manages a few blows but Marvin doesn’t seem phased as the magician lifts Jackie in the air with strength Jackie didn’t know he had and smashes the hero’s face into the concrete ground. Jackie hears his nose snap and he screams bloody murder.
Marvin stumbles back, body shaking with giggles, “hA Ha HA! wHaT a FuN sOunD!!”
Jackie growls and pushes himself up on shaking arms before he roars and charges at Marvin, fist glowing blue. Marvin grins at him and stays still until the last second when he glitches out of the way and Jackie’s neck is suddenly caught against a tight blue string. He chokes in panic and tumbles back, only to be stopped by another taut string. Suddenly, he’s surrounded by glitching strings that press close to his body as Jackie tries to calm his panicking heart. Static burns in his ears and Jackie tries to find some way to get out of the trap but just finds himself getting more and more tangled in the strings the more he tries. The strings keep multiplying and wrapping around him and tangling anything that Jackie touches.
The strings are razor sharp cutting deeply into his skin when they wrap too tightly around his limbs. Soon Jackie’s arms and legs are bleeding as he struggles to break through, what the hell were these things made out of?
“D-Damnit Marvin!” Jackie screams, “Let me out!”
“ThErE’S n-No rEaSOn tO Be ScAreD He-ErO,” Marvin sings sweetly, glitching closer to his trapped foe “sOoN I’iM g-GoiNg tO mAkE yOu FeEL jUsT aS gOoD aS m-ME!”
Marvin then sweeps his hand over the tangled hero and suddenly Jackie is tossed around in a whirlwind of glitches and strings. When he’s upright again, he’s in the air, his arms tangled up behind him in the string and his legs bound tight. Jackie really begins to panic now.
“N-No! Fuck!”
Jackie fights as hard as he can against his bindings but obviously, they’re magic and very very strong. Even building up power in his fists, he can’t make them budge. His arms burn from his injuries and he gags on the lingering scent of blood that trails down his face from his broken nose. He chokes back a sob as he tries to look Marvin in the face as the glitching magician looms over him.
“P-Please Marvin!” Jackie begs, tears falling down his face in droves, “I don’t know what Anti did to you but you have to wake up! You have to remember! Please! Please don’t do this!!”
Illusion tilts his head and stares at Jackie before he lifts up his hands in front of him. The strings wrapped around his fingers lift into the air as if caught in some invisible wind before they break off and start to swirl. As they swirl so too do the glitches around Marvin break off from his form and join the motion, forming big sweeping patches of green blue and black glitches and static. It creates a dizzying pattern like that of water flowing down a drain and Jackie starts to feel himself being pulled in. He tries to fight it, knows he can’t let himself fall in. But he can’t look away. And soon he’s trapped, eyes wide open and caught in the motion of the glitches as his eyes glaze over.
“tHat’s iT hEro… rElaX…” Illusion muses quietly, letting his voice become sickly sweet as his voice bubbles out, swirling around and echoing in Jackie’s ears. Jackie feels himself nodding, his body becoming numb. “i’M goNna heLp yOu fEeL SO mUch bEtTer… cUz PuPpeTs alwaYs feEl gOod!”
Jackie finds himself mumbling quietly to himself, blinking sleepily, “p...puppets… feel… good..?”
“yEs… bEcausE thEy doN’t hAve tO tHink… theY doN’t hAve To rEmemBer…” Illusion whispers. Words seem to start to flash in the glitches and Jackie blinks against them as they settle in his head.
Forget. Relax. Good. Puppet. Forget. Obey. Calm. Breathe. Sleep. Forget. Forget. Relax. Sleep.
Jackie’s eyes flutter as his head droops and nearly falls to his chest. A featherlight brush against his chin has him lifting his head though, blinking sleepily back towards the spiral.
“HoW dO yoU feEl?” Illusion asked.
The puppet smiled softly, “g...good…” he slurred.
“WhAt dO yOu rEmemBer?”
The puppet blinks his eyes as he tries to think, but his mind is blank. He just remembers feeling good, and the colors of the spiral, and the sounds of his master, and wanting to sleep and relax and forget and obey.
Illusion smiles, “SHouLd I fILL yOu iN?”
Jackie nods slowly.
Illusion bounces on his toes like an excited child on christmas as he kneels down by Jackie with a shit-eating grin, “oKaY! RePeaT AftTer Me!” He waved a finger in front of Jackie’s face and sang slightly through giggles, “PuPpet, pUPpeT I’M a pUpPet…” He booped Jackie’s nose with his finger when he finished and held back more crazed giggles as he watched the entranced hero try to follow.
“P-puppet… puppet.. I-i’m a puppet…” Jackie tried to sing along, a dazed smile coming along his face as he sang.
“I dOn’T RemEmbEr a tHiNG!”
“... I don’t… remember… a thing…”
“ALl I wAnt iS to SeRvE mY mAsTeR iLLuSioN!”
“...a-all… i… w-want is to serve.. My.. m-master…” Jackie’s eyebrows furrow together, his lips pursed together in a scowl.
“M-my… m-master… M-Marvin…?”
Illusion’s eyes alight with green fire as he slaps a fire-tinged hand across Jackie’s face with a schooled expression.
“W-wRoNg PuPpet!” Illusion giggled unhinged as he watched the flames lick and leave the hero’s skin red and patchy. Such a lovely color. Jackie’s eyes buzz and flicker with static as they glaze back over after the shock.
“tRy aGain,” Illusion growls.
“i-I serve m-my master Illusion…” Jackie mumbles and Illusion immediately brightens, clapping his hands together in glee.
“ExCeLLenT!”
He leans in close to Jackie, snapping slightly in front of his face to capture his attention. The puppet blinks slowly at him, “StILL fEeLinG gOod, puPpEt?”
Jackie nods, despite the still slightly smoking burn wound on his cheek, “yes…”
“OnE mOrE iMpoRtaNt quEstIoN!,” Illusion laughed as he studied the hero’s eyes, “aRe yOu reAdy tO cAuSe sOmE dAmaGe? tO hAvE sOmE FuN?”
Jackie’s head seems to loll to the side for a second as his foggy eyes wander away from Illusion’s face. But then, just like a television, static suddenly wipes over his eyes. He turns to Illusion and gives him an unsettling grin.
“Yeah… Let’s have some fun…!”
Mad and proud laughter bubbles out of Illusion as he drops Jackie and snaps to release his bonds. His first successful puppet. A movement across the floor catches the magician’s eye and causes his Cheshire like grin to grow even wider.
“PeRfeCt tiMiNg! CuZ iT LoOks LikE tHe cavAlrY hAs ArRiveD!”
