Not too bad, all considered. I have a wicked cough, and some sneezy sinus stuff but otherwise I'm in pretty good shape, and I'm feeling very lucky to not be more ill, especially given I have some underlying respiratory issues.

And hey, at least I don't have to miss work since theatre has basically gone dormant again until February at the EARLIEST.

I'm also very grateful to past me for stocking cough syrup in the house back at the very start of things just in case? Thanks for checking in on me <3 You're a sweetheart

Okay, you gotta explain more about Necromantic Romance. Consider my curiosity piqued!

It's been my latest stress-relief story! What if someone was brought back from the dead and promptly fell in love with the necromancer who did it...? How do you even deal with love at first sight when the first sight was being brought back to life? What if the necromancer doesn't even believe you really love them, because who can think clearly when they've just been dragged back into the light?

But I started writing it as a Les Mis fanfic and now I don't know if it should stay that way or if I should try to give it some proper context and let it be a standalone story

I would also like to know about The Lady and the Pale Knight please!

You know how some fairy tales sound like they started their life as an Arthurian legend? That's the style I'm trying to write this one in!

I have a bespelled lady, a no-good otherworldly pale knight, and a valiant young man too asexual to notice when he's being seduced to rescue aforementioned lady from aforementioned pale knight all ready to go. Now only if the stars would line up to let me write it

@starkey cruelly tagged me to post my “to-read hopefuls” for the year, knowing very well that I have very little patience for Literature, so here we have:

Jingo, because I’m trying to finally read all Pratchett’s City Watch novels but for crying out loud I’ve been stuck at chapter three of this one for at least a year

Dark Cheer, because of course I need to read every cosy cryptid story in the anthology that I got to add a story to!

The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, because I’m curious to see if I’ll like it better than Jane Eyre

Fairy Tales about Frau Holle, because I just got my hands on this originally German collection and it has lots of stories I’ve never heard before 

Fairy Tales about the Baba Jaga, because it may have some of the more obscure stories from Afanasyev’s huge collection

The Crystal Flower, because it’s one of my mum’s favourite kid’s books and I need to remind myself how exactly a shark ended up in the Land of Lost Things swimming in a lake filled with hair products
